Quietly is a full-service content marketing agency that offers services across the entire lifecycle of content marketing, from discovery and strategy to content creation and amplification. Quietly partners with organizations to understand how content drives their business, devising strategies and executing along the way.
We are looking for an experienced Editor with a history of working on technical topics aimed at business and IT leaders, IT admins, and developers such as: identity access management, cloud and hybrid IT environments, multi-factor authentication, lifecycle management, API management, and other software development topics.
This is a unique opportunity to work closely with one of our largest accounts and a network of writers to create content on important tech trends and products. You’ll be responsible for delivering content that is not only error-free, but that also tells a compelling story and aligns with our client's brands and goals.
This is a remote contract for what we estimate to be up to 100 hours in October and November.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Editing and fact-checking (including substantive stylistic and copyediting) a range of content for tech clients
Finding, briefing and managing relationships with a network of freelance writers
Working closely with Quietly's Editorial and Strategy teams to develop content ideas and opportunities
WHO YOU ARE
An Editor with a tech focus and a minimum of 3 years experience
Experience interviewing technical subject matter experts
Experience producing a range of content formats including blog posts, infographics, web copy, and whitepapers
Experience working with different style guides
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
The ability to quickly understand complex products, services, and market dynamics
Excellent verbal and written English
Ability to communicate constructive feedback with ease, remotely
A knack for developing and executing creative concepts
Ability to convey ideas and stories in a succinct fashion
Availability to work within tight deadlines
Bonus: you’ve previously worked as a developer or an IT admin
