Get a strange sense of satisfaction striking things off with your red pen?  We're looking for superstar editors who are as passionate about writing as they are ensuring content is flawless. You will work with a variety of clients (both publishers and brands) and our network of writers.

At Quietly, an editor is responsible for combing through content for spelling, grammar, syntax, flow, tone, correctness, voice and more, and is integral in helping deliver content that is not only clean, but also aligns with each client's brand, goals, and delivering on the overall content strategy.  Along with this, you will use Quietly's tools, prepare and proofread strategic documents, help send and package the content so it's publisher/brand ready, write content when necessary and perform any other tasks to help the Editorial Team.

  • Bring content ideas to life, working with a dynamic team of Editorial Managers, Strategists, Writers and Client Partners to do so

  • Research clients and get to know their business, product offerings, and communication styles

  • Work flexibly between a number of clients across multiple projects and manage competing deadlines

  • Edit all content to ensure every story is on brief and on brand for clients, including substantive and stylistic editing, copyediting, and fact-checking

  • Create and maintain style guides for all clients

  • Work closely with Quietly’s Photo Editor to complement written content with visuals

  • Source and build relationships with freelance writers

  • Take on associated administrative tasks such as updating content databases to track deliverables, creating writer contracts, drafting status updates for the accounts team, and updating project information in Asana



  • Have a degree in Communications, Journalism or English

  • Come armed with a diverse writing portfolio including finance, tech and lifestyle content with a focus on editing a range of content formats

  • Possess excellent verbal and written English

  • Are an experienced researcher and fact-checker

  • Have an ability to communicate constructive feedback with ease

  • Have a knack for developing and executing creative concepts

  • Have an ability to convey ideas and stories in a succinct fashion

  • Are comfortable with various social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter and Reddit

  • Have experience working with different style guides

  • Are accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines

  • Bring Initiative and self-motivation

  • And must provide own laptop

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with blogging platforms

  • Experience with analytics tools and software

  • Knowledge of social media best practices

  • Being bilingual or multilingual is an asset
