We're looking for an Editorial Manager who is as passionate about inspiring content as they are about editorial consistency and effectiveness. You are a client-facing project manager and think of big ideas to help our team push the envelope on content creation. You will work with a variety of clients and writers and collaborate closely with our strategists, account, and product teams. As a leading member of our editorial team, you will be responsible for managing deliverables for your accounts and ensuring client success.

  • Relationship building: Work closely with our Client Partners to develop and strengthen relationships with accounts.

  • Strategic planning: Create an insightful assessment of what clients need to do to succeed in their category and track how they measure up against their competition. Review analytical reporting and insights to derive new content ideas.

  • Editorial strategy: Translate the client’s business, marketing, and editorial goals into briefs and a defined editorial plan.

  • Content creation: Direct the internal team to research, find, curate and publish compelling, shareable content spanning various industries and formats.

  • Quality control: Ensure all content, deliverables, and product experiences are of the highest standard.

  • Processes: Contribute to and maintain first-class internal and external processes.

  • Writer management: Work with editors and writers to keep projects within scope and budget.

  • Timeline management: Establish schedules and workbacks, communicate these timelines to all stakeholders, and lead projects to ensure all moving parts are accountable.

  • Research and analysis: Work with account team to conduct research, analysis, and editorial planning.

  • Technical considerations: Work with the Quietly Insights product team to identify opportunities for automation of functionality and productization of features.

  • Communication: Effectively report to senior leadership.

  • Industry relations: Liaise with key partners in the publishing industry to identify key opportunities for alliances and thought leadership.



  • Minimum 3 years in editorial or content marketing

  • Experience in a client-facing role or account services; you’ve likely come from an agency

  • Project management experience—you have a knack for keeping organized and your projects on track

  • Ability to manage and adhere to a dynamic and busy publishing schedule

  • Experience with content strategy and ideation

  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, multi-task, and consistently meet deadlines

  • Ability to adopt, adapt, and communicate the voice of multiple clients (both B2B and B2C)

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; a knack for diplomacy

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a great team player

  • Highly driven and enthusiastic

  • Keeps finger on the pulse of content and publishing trends

  • Experience using online publishing platforms such as WordPress


  • Expertise in implementing SEO best practices

  • Knowledge of social media best practices

  • Being bilingual or multilingual is an asset
